ABOUT JONATHAN
I’m a singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, and recording engineer.
I’ve spent most of my life making music in one form or another. I started out primarily thinking like a guitar player, vocalist and songwriter, but over time I became just as interested in recording, production, arrangement, and building a world around an album as I was writing the songs.
That eventually meant learning how to wear a lot of hats.
I’ve worked as a performer, session musician, vocalist, engineer, producer, and teacher, and I’ve spent years helping other musicians figure out what they’re trying to say and how to make it sound like what they hear in their heads.
This album is my version of that.
Instead of asking what genre something belonged to, or what it was supposed to sound like, I started asking:
What do I want to hear?
Then I’d make that.
And when that was finished, I’d ask:
What do I want to hear next?
That way of working eventually became the framework for PANACEA, a larger project built around music, story, production, and the questions underneath it all.
